"With each of them, all things are remade." From any other person, this would be merely pleasant false fluff with overtones of philosophical posion. But from Chesterton, even it has meaning! Fascinating.

A beautiful quote. It's from The Defendant in case you wanted to know; the essay is "A Defence of Baby-Worship".

Very good - it almost sounds as if GKC has united some rather distant texts, the first words of the New Genesis (which comes at the End of Time):
"Behold, I make all things new." [Rv 21:5]
with the famous Gospel warning
"...unless you be converted, and become as little children" [Mt 18:3]
and the great Pentecost psalm to the Holy Spirit:
"Thou shalt send forth thy spirit, and they shall be created: and thou shalt renew the face of the earth." [Ps 103(104):30]

Elsewhere in that same book GKC says "Most probably we are in Eden still. It is only our eyes that have changed." But it appears that we also are living in the New World! (and no I don't mean west of the Atlantic!) It's something to ponder regardless of age.
